Reviving an Old Pillow

Sometimes when I feel like I have had a hard few days and I deserve something I find myself at Joannes fabrics. I don't know what it is about that place that makes me feel better. I usually pick up the usual hot glue sticks or any other craft supply that I use on a regular basis but I love to wander through the fabric dreaming of things I could make if I had to skill and/or time.
As I wandered through the fabric weeding through the shiny black leathers and the BYU patterned fleece this native american jersey knit caught my eye. For the life of me I could think of something to make out of it. It was too stretchy for a blanket or a top and the girl behind the cut table looked at me like I was crazy for asking her what I should make out of it.. So I didn't get it. Of course the second I got home I realized this pattern was just what I was looking for in a maxi skirt. So the next chance I got I ran back to Joannes and bought it.
After I made the skirt (I will post it soon) I had just enough fabric to cover an old pillow Since I was wanting the pillow now and I didn't have much time to sew I used the no sew method I found on this blog.
I love this look for fall! Not only is it such a cute print but it is probably the coziest fabric ever!
PS I got the yellow and blank wool fabric at Joanns too, for a festive throw.
